An individual may receive a maximum of 5 rebates from CleanBC Go Electric Rebates. An organization (business, non-profit, public sector organization) may receive a maximum of 10 rebates from CleanBC Go Electric Rebates. Requests for more than 10 rebates for organizations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Yes, to receive a vehicle rebate the vehicle must remain plated, registered, and insured in British Columbia in the applicant’s name for at least 12 months from date of sale for the low-speed vehicle, zero-emission motorcycles, and utility vehicle categories, and at least 36 months for on-road Medium- and Heavy-Duty vehicle and airport and port specialty vehicle categories.
CleanBC Go Electric Rebates has a limited budget, all applications are subject to available Program funds. As part of StrongerBC, in fall 2020 CleanBC Go Electric Rebates received an additional $31 million in funding.
You may apply to reserve funding if your vehicle is being delivered. You must provide a written notice from the supplier of the expected delivery date and a purchase order which indicates a deposit of no less than 10% of the vehicles purchase price, including taxes and relevant charges, has been made.
A neighbourhood zero-emission vehicle means a vehicle that travels on 4 wheels and is powered by an electric motor that is designed to all the vehicle to attain a speed of 32 Km/hr but not more than 40 Km/hr in a distance of 1.6 Km on a paved level surface.
CleanBC Go Electric Rebates is open to individuals, businesses, non-profits or public sector organizations that are based in B.C. or have B.C based affiliates. Individuals may only apply for neighbourhood zero-emission vehicles under the low-speed rebate category and all vehicles under the zero-emission motorcycle rebate category. All other applicants may apply for rebates in all the available categories.
